Thanks to Mike Adams of the Natural News for this amazing find. showing just how wicked the Mad Men of yesteryear were. What frightens me is thinking about just how much better and more sinister their ads may have become since that time.
“How soon is too soon?
Not soon enough. Laboratory tests over the last few years have proven that babies who starts drinking soda during that early formative period have a much higher chance of acceptance and “fitting in” during those awkward pre-teen and teen years. So do yourself a favor. Do your child a favor. Start them on a strict regimen of sodas and other sugary carbonated beverages right now, for a lifetime of guaranteed happiness.”The Soda Pop Board of America
Lab tests. Guilt trips. Fear. All rolled into one.
I am unsure if there is a statue of limitations on lifetime of happiness guarantee, but I know a few individuals who probably would like their money back.
I know this seems comical, but I find an old advertisement like this no different than the strategies much of medicine, Big Pharma, and corporations are trying to pull today.
It reeks of manipulation, and is reminiscent of marketing and propaganda ideas hatched by Edward L. Bernays himself, who I think I am going to have to do a post on.
