I finally found a chance to write a little about our second home birth experience, and even have a few photos to share. We didn’t take as many pictures as we did last time, but since they speak 1000 words, everyone should be all set. Since the birthRead More >

The Gibson family welcomes their newest member
Kate, Gordon, and I welcomed the newest addition to our family this weekend. On 04/18/2010 at 3:34am, Maggie Elizabeth Elsie Gibson was born at our home, and the process was flawless, although tiresome. Kate felt her first contractions at approximately 10:30pm, we called our midwife at 12:30am. SheRead More >

It is getting much more common to have a midwife, midwife assistance, and doula. Having your family chiropractor on hand is something that cannot always be arranged, but I know most of my colleagues would love the chance to help the mother and child in this process.
Have a Better Pregnancy with Chiropractic Care
Even though my wife and I have had a successful birth at home, I continue to do research to understand the role medicine and chiropractic play in this natural process. I recently found an article that is very well done, and supports the role chiropractic has played inRead More >
Chiropractic and headaches during pregnancy
My wife, Kate, recently reached the final trimester of our second pregnancy(I say very loosely, as I realize I am involved strictly in a supportive role.) With Kate’s first pregnancy there was very few if any symptoms, and the pregnancy was relatively stress free. This second pregnancy hasRead More >
