Migraine Headache in Seattle Washington
The Queen Anne Chiropractic Center’s Gibson family are better known as the Seattle Washington Migraine Headache Chiropractors. Migraines can be an absolutely debilitating problem that can often be caused by a misalignment of the spine, and more specifically the atlas and axis vertebra. These chiropractic subluxations can hinder a persons ability to think clearly and cause these symptoms: Sympathetic activity also delays emptying of the stomach into the small intestine and thereby prevents oral medications from entering the intestine and being absorbed. The impaired absorption of oral medications is a common reason for the ineffectiveness of medications taken to treat migraine headaches. The increased sympathetic activity also decreases the circulation of blood, and this leads to pallor of the skin as well as cold hands and feet. The increased sympathetic activity also contributes to the sensitivity to light and sound sensitivity as well as blurred vision. This is something our Seattle chiropractor office at: Queen Anne Chiropractic Center 1905 Queen Anne Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109 (206) 282-8275 specializes in. Contact us if you need help.
Migraine Headaches Therapy in Seattle, WA
When a Seattle chiropractor is addressing a patients spine for symptoms of migraine headaches and the appropriate migraine headaches therapy, they will often utilize x-rays. These x-rays will help determine if the spine is out of alignment, and which area of of the neck contains the vertebral subluxation complex that needs to be adjusted. Chiropractic adjustments, when involving migraine headaches, as mentioned previous, involve the top two bones of your spine. The atlas and the axis. When misaligned, serious pressure can build on the brain stem, spinal cord, and limited the speed and efficiency of the nervous system. If these spinal misalignments occur, the symptoms of a headache can appear. When the pressure is removed, proper function may restore, and the person will be headache free. The results can vary, as every person has unique personal health histories, but the success rate at Queen Anne Chiropractic Center for patients finding headache and migraine relief is extremely high, and something we are very proud as a local Seattle Chiropractor. Headaches can be a thing of the past, so please contact us for more information: Queen Anne Chiropractic Center 1905 Queen Anne Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109 (206) 282-8275

Seattle Neck Pain, Seattle, WA
Even though I was raised in a chiropractic family, and have been adjusted my entire life, it was not long ago when I suffered my own debilitating neck injury, which eventually went from acute to chronic pain. I was a freshman in college, and while playing my very first hockey game for Life College of Chiropractic, I was crosschecked in the side of the head by an opponent. I didn’t think much of it, as things like this had happened before, and I knew I could count on receiving an adjustment from my father, Dr. Darrell Gibson, D.C., who had been visiting with my mother to watch our first game. A series of adjustments later, the pain had not decreased very much. The following months I remained in agony, and with every jolt, bump, or touch my neck sent a jolt of pain into my arms and down my spine. We took x-rays, I received regular chiropractic care, but not until a year and half later did I find the solution through chiropractic. My neck pain was becoming unbearable and was thinking about returning home to Seattle, WA, as it did not look like it was ever going to get better. Neck Pain Management at our Seattle, WA Chiropractic Center
It was at a hockey game playing Arizona State University, and I was fed up with my symptoms. This was going into my second year with the hockey team, and I was still struggling with the discomfort and I approached out team chiropractor. I remember explaining that it hurt everywhere, but i could now pinpoint the root cause of the discomfort in my trapezius muscle on the left side of my neck. The chiropractor(who I had not yet been adjusted by) had an epiphany and explained that there was a very good possibility that it was caused by a misalignment of my first thoracic vertebra, and my first rib that articulates with the transverse process. He palpated my spine, made the appropriate adjustment, which seemed unbearable at the time, and that was it. My neck was still in a marginal amount of discomfort, but I knew he had fixed my problem. Within a week my symptoms were almost gone, but I still had remnants of the injury over the next year. That is why I look at myself as a chiropractor who has specialized in neck pain management at my chiropractic clinic. I have been there, I understand, and will look at every detail to get a patient better by correcting the root cause of their spinal problem. While Dr. Sarah Gibson, and Dr. Graeme Gibson, D.C. called Ballard and Magnolia home for a few years, all three doctors now live and work right on Queen Anne Avenue. Getting to know our community has been a special treat, as we often see patients in similar circles around the hill, and even in other areas of outside of Queen Anne like Fremont, Wallingford, and even West Seattle. With Dr. Graeme Gibson’s school aged son, and his wife Katy being a school teacher at St. Anne School, it can be difficult to go somewhere without running into a familiar face, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Many of our friends and neighbors have become a part of our chiropractic family, and it is fantastic to be able to support our fellow residents when the time comes. Through local school fundraisers at St. Anne, John Hay Elementary, Coe Elementary school and the Queen Anne Helpline we try to give back as much as possible, often making chiropractor and massage care available to those in need.
